Kathmandu, June 23 Abhilasha Bista defeated Bijisha Shrestha 6-3, 6-2 to win the U-18 girls’ singles title of the fourth Nepal Junior Tennis Championships at the Satdobato Tennis Complex today. Samriddhi Maharjan, Nishad Joshi, Aadit Subedi, Aarav Samrat Hada, Rayana Shah, Sakshyam B Shah and Aryan Giri also won titles. Samriddhi Maharjan beat Nala J Maskey 10-3, 10-6 in the U-8 girls’ section final, while Nishad Joshi won boys’ category title with a 10-1, 10-3 victory over Shubham Chaulagai. Likewise, Aadit Subedi defeated Samyak Bhushan Bajracharya 6-3, 6-2 to win the U-14 boys’ section title, while Aarav Samrat Hada beat Pranav Manandhar 6-0, 6-0 in the U-10 boys’ category final. Rayana Shah won the U-12 girls’ singles title with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Sharvani Shrestha, while Aryan Giri defeated Nischal Adhikari 6-0, 6-1 in boys’ section final. Also, Sakshyam B Shah beat Rajbir Pradhan 4-2, 4-1 in the final of the U-9 boys’ singles category. Nala J Maskey and Samriddhi Maharjan made it to the U-8 girls’ singles final, while Nishad Joshi set final date with Shubham Chaulagai in boys’ section. Saloni Tamang and Abhilasha Bista advanced to U-14 girls’ singles final. Tamang defeated Isha Shree Shah 6-1, 6-0 and Bista beat Rayana Shah 6-0, 6-1. The remaining finals are on Saturday.
