Bhojpur, June 25 Minister of Finance Gyanendra Bahadur Karki today said  the pace of development would pick up in the country after the local, provincial and parliamentary polls were completed. Speaking at a function in his home district, Bhojpur, the minister said the country’s economic progress was the top priority of the incumbent government. “The budget has already been passed. The government will now focus on its implementation,” he said. Karki further claimed that the Arun III hydroelectricity project would bring a lot economic returns to the country, particularly to the people from the eastern region. He informed that he was doing everything in his power to make the project a reality. He also said he would not get involved in any activity that breached the election code of conduct during the civic elections slated for June 28.
