Bus driver held for ferrying dead goats to Kathmandu from Nagdhunga

KATHMANDU: Police on Monday said that a bus driver has been arrested for ferrying dead goats to Kathmandu from the Nagdhunga entry point in Chandragiri Municipality, on the western outskirts of Kathmandu. A bus (Na 5 Kha 2770) was intercepted by police at the entry point in Nagdhunga and discovered 18 dead and 4 live goats yesterday. A bus driver Umesh Raya Yadav was detained and has been sent to Animal Quarantine Office in Sukedhara for further investigation and action today.
