RUKUM: Voting was  halted for a few hours on Wednesday after a youth posing as a voter  sprinkled acid in a ballot box at Bhanbhane-based Janata Primary School Voting Centre ‘Kha’ in Rolpa Rural Municipality in Rolpa district. According to Returning Officer Dharmaraj Giri, four ballot papers were damaged in the acid attack carried out by an unidentified person. “There  were a total of 150 ballot papers in the box when the attack happened. Voting resumed after 2:00pm following an agreement at an all party  meeting to exclude the burnt ballot papers and carry on with the voting,  “he said. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ram Prasad Gharti Magar, police have started investigation into the incident and they have launched a search for the absconding youth.”
