HIMSTI, CCSI ink agreement

Kathmandu, January 12:

Himalayan Multiple Skill Training Institute (HIMSTI) and Creative Career Systems Inc (CCSI), Canada signed a franchising and licensing agreement in the capital yesterday, according to a press release issued here today.

Dr Shakti Shrestha, chairman of HIMSTI and Judith Murray, president of CCSI signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. The agreement will facilitate Himalayan Multiple Skill Training Institute to produce certified care-givers in Nepal. It will also facilitate to establish and develop specialised training institute and conduct care-givers’ training programme to meet prevailing Canadian as well as international standard of care-givers’ services.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr Champak Shrestha, a member of National Planning Commission (NPC) said, “The agreement would help to standardise the training activities as per the requirement of foreign employers, which will be beneficial not only for the candidates working abroad but also for other concerned agencies.” He assured that the government would address the issues relating to foreign recruitment sector in the 11th National Plan.

“The policy makers should promote and develop foreign recruitment sector,” Dr Shakti Shrestha added.

Judith Murray, president of CCSI, said Nepali graduates can take the training as a stepping stone to work and settle in Cananda as it is going to be the only country which is going to have more than 50 per cent elderly population of over 65 years in the near future.
