GAUSHALA: The Chief Election Commissioner Dr Ayodhee Prasad Yadav today assured that the local polls in Province 2 would take place in the slated time.

In a press meet organised in Mahottari today, CEC Yadav urged all to rely on EC for conducting the timely elections in Province 2. “The commission is preparing all arrangements required for the elections. Therefore there is no valid logic against it.”

On the query of media persons regarding the Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal's participation in the election, Yadav expressed confidence that the party would take part in the third phase of local level elections.
