First PVC industrial plant in Dolakha

Dolakha, August 8 A PVC pipe industry was recently set up at a cost of Rs 30 million in Dolakha. The plant, set up in Gopitar of Tamakoshi Rural Municipality, Dolakha, is the first of its type in the district. Dolakha Bhimeshwor Multi Trading Company Private Limited brought the industrial plant into operation from today targeting the market in Dolakha, Ramechhap, Kathmandu, Sindhuli, Sindhupalchowk, Kavre and a few districts of the Tarai. The plant is expected to produce 700 kg pipes daily. According to plant operator Suresh Upreti, the industry has started production of 16mm to 8 inch poly pipes. “Besides, there are preparations to produce other small items that are used for pipes,” he said, adding, the plant uses used polyethylene bags and other plastic items as raw material. Young entrepreneur Suresh Upreti and Dolakha chamber of commerce and industry chairperson Sundar Karki have invested in the plant. “Apart from earning profit, the plant will contribute to making our villages and cities clean,” he said.
