NSU Lamjung collects money to support flood victims

BESISAHAR: Nepal Students Union Lamjung has launched a campaign to support the flood victims by collecting money since Monday. The campaign organised in coordination of NSU Lamjung leader Deepak Adhikari, has collected Rs 48,089 so far. As part of the campaign, the NSU held a rally from Shera of Besisahar to Ring Road via Manange Chautara today. The rally has collected Rs 35,553 from the urban area while a construction entrepreneur Dinesh Babu Bista contributed Rs 5,000, a local resident of Lamjung living abroad in Saudi Arabia contributed Rs 7, 536.85. The collected money will be used in providing the flood victims with relief through NSU Central Committee, said Adhikari. Adhikari remarked that the people from hilly region should step up to support the flood victims of Tarai in order to repay the support they had provided during the massive earthquake that jolted in April 15 2015. He said NSU was always ready to take the lead during the crisis.
