Kathmandu, January 19:

Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, assistant minister for industry, commerce and supplies has announced the plans to hold the second Nepal Carpet Mart-2006 in Kathmandu, at DOMOTEX Carpet Fair in Hanover, Germany.

The second Nepal Carpet Mart is to be held in Kathmandu from November 26 to November 27.

The mart is to be organised by the Nepal German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NGCCI) in association with government authorities, carpet associations, export and trade promoting organisations, international development organisation and diplomatic mission in Nepal and abroad, states a press release issued by NGCCI today.

About 100 exhibitors from different parts of Nepal are expected to take part in the mart and more than 100 overseas buyers are expected to attend and have business dialogue with the exhibitors.

Beside display of latest designs of carpets and varied range of floor coverings, the mart would also have an interactive workshop on various subjects, adds the release.
