LALITPUR: Tenzin Namdel Ryan Gurung won the U-12 boys’ category title of the third Kids Triathlon Championship here at the International Sports Complex on Saturday. Gurung clocked 10 minutes and 17 seconds to complete 25m swimming, 1,800m cycling and 1,200m running. Ishan Gurung (10:45) and Urgen Maharjan (10:45) finished second and third respectively. In girls’ section, Ravya Shrestha came first. She clocked six minutes and 52 seconds to finish 12.5m swimming, 900m cycling and 600m running. Abhilasha Shrestha (6:56) and Tamanna Agrawal (7:12) came second and third respectively. In U-8 boys’ section, Ravanta Bahadur Shrestha took 5:33.86 seconds to finish 12.5m swimming, 900m cycling and 600m running and won gold medal. Aren Bhandari (5:34.02) and Noble Maharjan (5:49.56) came second and third respectively. A total of 54 athletes took part in the event organised by Lalitpur District Triathlon Association.
