Minister of State for Irrigation inspects projects in Saptari

SAPTARI: Minister of State for Irrigation Amar Singh Pun today inspected various irrigation projects destroyed in the monsoon triggered flooding in August and took stock of the damage incurred by the projects. Pun also held consultation with technicians and experts in the related field on reconstructing or repairing the damaged projects. Following the inspection, he directed chief of the projects to estimate budget required to repair the damaged projects and send the report to the Department of Irrigation and Ministry of Irrigation so that they could compensate the damage. Property worth approximately Rs 430 million were damaged when Khado Khola Project and a canal constructed by the District Irrigation Development Division were destroyed in the disaster.
