Rautahat, September 14 With the third round of civic polls just around the corner in Province 2, voters in Rautahat have yet to decide whom to vote for. When asked, all the voters said the same thing when candidates reached their houses during election publicity campaigns. The voters said that they would cast their votes for the most convincing candidates. Apparently, voters did not like to support candidates openly while discussing polls. Jabijan Khatun, 65, of Gadimai Municipality said she would cast her vote to those who worked for the people and her community. “I have cast vote six times, but no one had worked for my community,” she added. Khatun expressed sadness as there had not been any development activity in terms of education in the community. Similarly, Sahid Kawari, 63, of the same municipality said that he would vote in favour of those candidates who were interested in developing the municipality. It is learnt that the poor and people from the Muslim community of Durga Bhagawati, Rajdevi, Madhavnarayan, Gadimai rural municipalities are more conscious about the value of their vote. Earlier, they had voted blindly, but now they said they had changed and there they were committed to choosing the best candidates.
