Squad named for Blind World Cup

KATHMANDU: Cricket Association of the Blind, Nepal picked up 14 players for the fifth ODI Blind Cricket World Cup to be held in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates from January 10-25 next year. The squad comprises skipper Kritan Shrestha Duwal, Sunil Subedi Chhetri, Bikram Bahadur Rana, Naresh Chaudhary, Bharat Chaulagain, Durga Dutta, Sunil Rana, Khimananda Gaire, Surya Prasad Bhattarai, Badri Chaulagain, Padam Bahadur Badela, Sashank Regmi, Bharat Thapa and Ramesh Bahadur Baniya. According to CAB Nepal, Programme Officer Niroj Giri, coach Rijan Praju and skipper Duwal picked up the squad based on their performance in the selection event held at the Pokhara Stadium from September 7-9.
