KATHMANDU: Nepalis living in around the world are gearing up for the celebration of Dashain festival. It is one of the biggest festival in Hindu religion most of them celebrate with their near and dear ones with enthusiasm. Basically, people seek blessing and receive Tika from their elder ones. Traditionally, livestock are slaughtered and offered its blood to the deities and people consume meat during this festival. Nepal's domestic market is unable to meet the demand of livestock as Nepal is compelled to rely on imports from Tibet and India. Mountain goats and sheep are imported from Tibet whereas goats are brought from India. Here are some of the pictures captured by our THT photo journalist Skanda Gautam today.
