1 killed, 3 injured in Morang auto-rickshaw accident

URLABARI, MORANG: A person died and three others sustained injuries after an auto-rickshaw they were travelling on ran out of control and fell below the road in Urlabari-5 of Morang district along the East-West Highway on Friday evening. The deceased has been identified as Gyaljung Tamang (18) of Urlabari-2 Morang and the injured as Sushah Ojha (18), Sujan Dhakal (21) and Prashant Adhikari (21). The incident occurred when the auto-rickshaw (Ko 1 Ha 9725) coming heading in westward direction suddenly lost control and skidded off the road killing Tamang and injuring three others, yesterday evening, according to the Area Police Office, Urlabari. Critically hurt in the accident, Tamang was rushed to the local Arniko Hospital where he succumbed to injuries during the course of treatment at around 9 pm. Meanwhile, the injured are receiving treatment at the Araniko Hospital. The search is on for the auto rickshaw driver Bhim Raj Khadka (48) of Urlabari-3 who fled the scene after the incident, police said.
