KATHMANDU: Property worth around Rs 1,200,000 were destroyed in a fire that broke out in a plastic factory in the Balaju Industrial Area in KMC-16 on Sunday. According to police, the Bindabasini Plastic Industry owned by Hirdya Narayan Prasad Kuswah of Ranighat in Parsa district, engulfed in flames turning the materials and goods into cinders yesterday. The preliminary investigation points to an electric short circuit as the cause of the balze in the factory. Police with the help of locals and fire engines doused the fire. Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
