Jewellery shop owner shot dead in Sarlahi

Rautahat, October 11 A jewellery shop owner was shot dead in Haripurwa Municipality, Sarlahi on Tuesday. An unidentified group had shot at Sunil Sah, 27, of Kabilashi Rural Municipality while he was returning to his house from his shop on his motorbike. According to Sah’s father Nagendrar Sah a group of four youths had tried to stop him on the way. “The youths tried to rob cash, gold, silver jewelries and when my son tried to retaliate, they opened fire on him,” he added. He further said that the youths took away all jewellery and cash. Sah received a bullet in his neck. District Police Office, Sarlahi, said that Sah was immediately rushed to the Malangawa-based district hospital, but doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. SP Masaud Alam Khan at DPO said that police held three suspects today. However, police have yet to make them public.
