Construction of Santapur Model Residence begins

Rautahat, October 13 Dhurmus Suntali Foundation has started construction of Santapur Model Residence at Chandrapur Municipality-8 in Rautahat. The project will build residences for flood victims, who were displaced by the floods a few months ago. The foundation plans to construct as many as 48 two-storied houses for the same number of flood victims. The model settlement will also have a public toilet, a view tower, a temple and a primary school. Construction of the houses started from September 18 and is expected to be completed within five months. The residence will house the people from Musahar, Chamar, Dusadh, Lohar, Sah and Chaudhary communities. According to Sita Ram Kattel (Dhurmus), they thought of  constructing the residence for flood victims as their situation was miserable.  Kattel said he was committed to completing construction of the settlement and handing it over to the victims within deadline.
