Interaction on national mass media policy and proposed law and structure concludes

BARDIBAS, MAHOTTARI: An interaction on the national mass communication policy and proposed law and structure concluded here today, issuing a five-point declaration for free press and responsible journalism.

The declaration identifies the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the press as responsible institutions for making lifestyle of the people democratic, but not only the governance system of the country.

The event was organised in Province 2 level by the National Mass Communication Policy Implementation High Level Committee for collecting suggestion on the draft of the National Mass Communication Authority Act, 2074, and Public Service Broadcasting Act, 2074.

On the occasion, constitution expert and chairperson of the organising committee Kashi Raj Dahal, and member Tikaram Rai presented the draft of the acts in the event that was chaired by President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Mahottari Kamalesh Mandal.
