The deceased has been identified as 65-year-old local Krishna Prasad Acharya. The motorcycle (Baa 2 Ba 3570) struck the bicycle Acharya was riding, towards Bedauli, at Suthauli last night, injuring Acharya, according to police. Injured Acharya was rushed to the Bhairahawa-based Universal College of Medical Sciences where he breathed his last while undergoing treatment at 1 am today, informed Inspector Raju Karki at the Pipara-based Area Police Office. According to police, the body has been sent to the Butwal-based Lumbini Zonal Hospital for postmortem. Meanwhile, the motorcycle involved in the incident has been impounded for further investigation, said police.
