Theft case reported from various locations of Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Police on Sunday reported three cases of theft from assorted locations of  Kathmandu on Saturday. Property worth around Rs 452,500 were stolen from a house in Aloknagar of KMC-31 on Saturday. According to police, an unidentified gang broke into the house belonging to Binu Thapa and made off with Rs 20,000 cash, US dollar 25,000, and gold jewelleries from the unattended house. Likewise, unidentified perpetrators broke into two houses in Italitar of Budhanilkantha Municipality-7 in Kathmandu district and decamped with various jewelleries and cash on Saturday. The perpetrators broke into the house belonging to Kamal KC and made off with five and a half tolas of gold jewelleries and various diamond jewelleries worth around Rs 516,000 from the unattended house. Similarly, an unidentified gang broke into the unattended house of Suman Karki in the same locality and decamped with Rs 50,000 cash on the same day. Meanwhile, local police are investigating further into the case and searching for the absconding perpetrators, said police.
