Ukrainian national nabbed with 2 kg hashish from Tribhuvan Int'l Airport

KATHMANDU: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) of Nepal Police on Tuesday arrested a Ukrainian national for possessing two Kilograms of hashish from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. The arrested has been identified as Oleksii Lolenko (42) bearing Passport no. FG921781. Lolenko was arrested after the security personnel seized hashish hidden in a pair of 'Stylish' brand sneakers and remaining portion of the drug filled in a jar of Dabur Chyawanprash, an ayurvedic medicine, kept in his suitcase, at around 1:00 pm yesterday, said NCB. The Ukrainian man was about to board the Jet Airways Flight no. 6542 to home via Mumbai, India, at the time when he was nabbed. Meanwhile, further investigation into the case has been carried out by the NCB, Koteshwor.
