Damauli, November 27 Security agencies in Tanahun have tightened security measures in view of the second round of parliamentary and provincial polls scheduled for December 7 in the district. Chief District Officer Ritesh Kumar Shakya said the security management had been made stringent to hold the upcoming polls in free, fair and fearless environment. “The security strategy was being changed on a daliy basis,” he added. SP Umeshraj Joshi said the police were ever ready to provide security in the district to hold the elections in a fearless environment. He informed that security personnel deployed to other districts for the first round of election were returning to the district for the second phase. He added that night and day patrolling, inquiry into suspicious persons and activities, and investigations, among others, were conducted daily to avert untoward incidents.
