Two held with huge cache of controlled pharmaceutical drugs

KATHMANDU: The Narcotics Control Bureau recently arrested two persons for their involvement in smuggling controlled pharmaceutical drugs. Acting on a tip off, police apprehended Dipesh Kumar Shrivastav (24) and Basanta Kumar Saha (24) of Sarlahi, while selling the controlled drugs from Pingalasthan of Gaushala, KMC-9 today. Police seized 336 ampoules of diazepam and brufen injections from their possession. The preliminary investigation shows that the duo had a good networking of drug dealers in the border areas. They sold drugs in various main cities across Nepal, read a press statement issued today. Police have filed a case under Narcotic Drugs (Control) Act, 1976. Further investigation is underway.
