KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Kamal Thapa has cast his ballot for the phase II elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies from a polling station at Chaughada Bangshagpal Secondary School in Hetauda-6, Makwanpur Constituency-1 this morning.

Thapa is also contesting the parliamentary elections from the same constituency.

Talking to THT online, Thapa said, “I am certain that this election will institutionalise a strong democratic environment ensuring peace, stability which will pave way for economic development and prosperity of the country.”

The voter turnout in Hetauda 6 is relatively less by the time this report was filed due to cold weather. However, it is expected that the voters flow will thicken as the day progresses, said the RPP chair’s close aide Suvash Thapa.
