Rajbiraj, December 7 Voters in Mahadewa of Mahadewa Rural Municipality, Rajbiraj, have boycotted the provincial and parliamentary elections held today. No one cast ballots at Mahadewa Aadharbhut School voting centre. Voting official Dhaneshwor Sha said not a single voter cast the ballot till 5:00pm today. Well-prepared polling officials waited for voters at the  voting centre . However, voters appeared nowhere round the centre. As many as 960 voters were to vote at the polling booth. Locals said they did not participate in the election citing past failure of elected candidates to develop their locality. “We cast votes many times before, but no development took place,” said a local, Budhan Mandal.
