Mahato defeats Nidhi in Dhanusa 1

JANAKPURDHAM: Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal's Rajendra Mahato won a Dhanusa constituency 1 seat in Parliament by defeating his nearest rival Nepali Congress's Bimalendra Nidhi. Mahato received 30,750 votes, while Nidhi 27,847 votes. Likewise, Federal Democratic Forum-Nepal's Shailendra Kumar Yadav emerged victorious to claim a Dhanusa 2 (A) Provincial Assembly seat. He got 16,521 votes, while his closest competitor CPN (Maoist Centre)'s Nawal Kishor Sah 9,074 votes.
