CPN-UML's Nembang scores victory in Ilam

ILAM: CPN-UML scores another victory in Ilam with it's leader Subash Nembang defeated Nepali Congress's Keshab Thapa to win a Parliamentary seat from Ilam constituency 2 with a margin of 9,654 votes.

Nembang received 36,514 votes, while his closest contender Thapa garnered 26,860 votes.

Earlier, CPN-UML leader Jhala Nath Khanal had won a Parliamentary seat from Ilam constituency 1 with a margin of 17,170 votes against his nearest contender Nepali Congress’s Bhupendra Kattel.

Meanwhile, in Ilam constituency 2 (B), UML's Kajiman Kagate claimed a Provincial Assembly seat with 17,986 voters. His nearest rival NC's Durga Baral got 10,021 votes.
