KATHMANDU: CPN-UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel has expressed commitment to develop his constituency area.

Addressing the victory assembly organised at Lainchour, in Kathmandu today, he said that he would fulfill all commitments that he made before the people during the election.

Pokharel — elected as a member to the House of Representatives from Kathmandu constituency 5 — said that activities would be carried out as per the people's aspiration as the left alliance won the elections with majority.

He said, 'We will take the country towards the path of development by fulfilling the commitments made before the people during the election.'

A new government of left alliance would be formed soon, added General Secretary Pokharel.
