KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court on Wednesday issued a show cause notice to the government regarding VAT and health services fee private hospitals charged patients. A bench comprising Chief Justice Gopal Prasad Parajuli and justices Dipak Raj Joshi, Cholendra Shumsher Rana, Om Prakash Mishra and Dipak Kumar Karki issued the order in response to a case registered on July 31 by advocate Bishnu Prasad Timilsina. The Constitution of Nepal, 2072 has guaranteed every individual the right to get free basic health services.
