Kathmandu, December 15 The Supreme Court today refused to register a writ petition that the newly elected member of Parliament Resham Chaudhary wanted to file at the court through his agent seeking issuance of his victory certificate to the agent. Chief Secretary of the SC Nahakul Subedi attached reasons for his refusal on the petition that Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal lawmaker wanted to file through his agent. Subedi cited Section 65 (1) of the Court Management Chapter of Muluki Ain, saying the petitioner, who admitted being an accused in a murder case, must appear before the court to file his case. Subedi stated that as per Section 94 of Court Management Chapter warrants are issued against any person accused of murder and attempted murder and such person must be arraigned and in this case Chaudhary who has been accused in Kailali killings did not fulfil these procedures and therefore his case cannot be registered through an agent. Subedi said if Chaudhary himself came up with his petition, the SC would consider whether or not his case should be registered. READ ALSO:
