KATHMANDU: National Seismological Centre recorded a light aftershock of magnitude 4.2 on Monday evening, with its epicentre in Sindhupalchok district. The tremor recorded at 5:18pm has been listed as an aftershock of the 2015 Nepal earthquake. Thousands of aftershocks followed the main event, which struck Gorkha district on April 25, 2015. But both the frequency and the size of seismic activities have gone down gradually. Around 9,000 people were killed in the 2015 earthquake.  The latest aftershock was recorded on December 8 of magnitude 5.2 with its epicenter in Dolakha.
