INARUWA, SUNSARI: The locals and concerned authorities have demanded to declare Inaruwa Municipality, the headquarters of Sunsari district, as the capital city of Province-1. The district has enough infrastructures and resources including various tourist destinations and an airport that are required for the capital city. It is convenient for all 14 districts within the province, argued the locals. Besides, the municipality has also other facilities including transportation, electricity, drinking water, education, health and communications required for the same, said local teacher Dev Krishna Yadav. Dhiraj Bhattarai, a social worker in the district, urged local political party leaders to speak up and create pressure on the centre to make Sunsari district the capital of Province-1.
