Nuwakot man arrested for Human trafficking

KATHMANDU: A team deployed from the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police arrested a person on the charge of alleged human trafficking from Nuwakot on Wednesday, police said. The arrested has been identified as Sun Bahadur Tamang alias Sune (49) of Dupcheshwar Rural Municipality-1 of Nuwakot district. According to police, Tamang is charged with allegedly coercing two girls into prostitution by giving them hopes of a good job and better life in New Delhi, in India and later selling them in a brother there in 2014. The victims were later able to escape the brothel and return to Nepal, reported to the police. Meanwhile, Tamang was presented before the Kathmandu District Court and remanded on the judicial custody for further investigation.
