KATHMANDU: Locals of Butwal today staged demonstration demanding to make Butwal the Province 5 capital. According to police, the rally was held  by the Nepali Congress cadres from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Rupandehi district. Nepali Congress leader Ram Prasad Adhikari headed the rally at the Pushpa Lal Park in Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-6. Similarly, NC Provincial candidate from Rupandehi Constituency-2'Ka' Kajiman Shrestha led the rally at Sungava in Sainamaina Municipality-2. Likewise, another rally was staged at Maigram in Tilottama Municipality-5 in the district. The traffic along the East-West Highway and the Siddhartha Highway were diverted onto the road sections citing the rally, informed police.
