KATHMANDU: A person died after a bus struck him in Bafal of KMC-13 on Sunday, police said. The deceased has been identified as Binod Gole (22) of Chitlang in Makawanpur district, currently residing in Bafal. Gole was crossing the road when the bus (Ba 2 Kha 1781) en route from Swayambhu to Kalanki struck him at 8:30 pm yesterday, according to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Umesh Ranjitkar, spokesperson at the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division, Kathmandu. The injured breathed his last on the way to the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital. Meanwhile, police have impounded the vehicle and search is on for the absconding driver for further investigation, said Spokesperson Ranjitkar.
