KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chair Kamal Thapa has said that the country could be pushed towards instability again if the government is not formed as per the new popular mandate. Speaking at an interaction in the capital today, he said the popular mandate was in favour of the left alliance and dividing it to form a different government would be a betrayal on the public aspiration. Accepting that legal ambiguity had delayed the formation of a new government, he said, 'the federal parliament shall get full shape after the NA elections and the government formed after a week of it.' He also said that the consensus of the left alliance was essential in designating the temporary provincial capitals and appointing the head of provinces, which is a sensitive matter. The RPP Chair said the government finally agreed to the party's demand of observing Paush 27 as the national unity day in memory of nation builder Prithivi Narayan Shah, based on a consensus among all the parties.
