KATHMANDU: East Pole, GEMS, Ideal and KU City College entered the boys’ category quarter-finals of the KEBS Cup Inter-college Six-a-side Football Tournament here on Wednesday. East Pole defeated Loyalty Academy 2-0 on penalties after a goalless draw. In other matches, GEMS saw off Arunima 1-0, Ideal ‘B’ defeated Bajra International 3-0 and KU City outplayed hosts KEBS ‘B’ 3-0 to advance to the last eight. A total 16 teams are competing in the tournament organised by Kumari English Boarding School. The winners and runners-up will take home Rs 25,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively.
