KATHMANDU: Universal College defeated Thames International College by one run in the final of the BBA T20 Cup here at the Mulpani Cricket Ground on Thursday. Opting to bat first, Universal were bowled for 106 runs in 18 overs but they restricted Thames to 105-7 in 20 overs. Samir Mishra scored 30 runs and Gopal Pariyar added 25 runs for Universal College. Thames’ Ronish Prajuli finished with 6-19. Kalyan Lamichhane scored 31 runs for Thames. Universal’s Gopal Pariyar was named the man-of-the-series, while his teammate Mukesh Raut was the best batsm Thames’ Rohan Katwal got the best bowler’s award and Ronish Prajuli was the player-of-the-final.
