POKHARA: Freedom Fighter of Kathmandu, Butwal Veterans and ABC Pokhara recorded wins in the seventh Ranjit Gurung Memorial Bagar Bhai Khalak Eight-a-side International Veteran Football Tournament here on Tuesday. In the inaugural match, Freedom Fighter defeated Butwal Society 1-0 riding on man-of-the-match Bijay Gurung’s solitary goal. Likewise, Butwal Veterans outplayed Hemja Veterans 3-1. Man-of-the-match Sanjay Shrestha scored a brace and Sher Bahadur Gurung added one for Butwal Veterans, while Santama Shrestha scored the consolation goal for Hemja. Similarly, ABC Pokhara defeated hosts Bagar Bhai Khalak 5-2 riding on a hat-trick from man-of-the-match Sanjay Gurung. Top two teams will take home Rs 100,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively.
