DANG: Tribhuvan Army Club and Nepal Police Club entered the 28th National Football Tournament here on Thursday. TAC came from a goal down to beat Far-western Region 2-1 in the semi-final match in Gorahi. Mani Chaudhary put Far-western ahead in the 19th minute, while Eric Bista levelled the scores in the 69th minute. Rajib Gurung then scored the winning goal in the 71st minute. In another semi-final match in Tulasipur, NPC rallied to beat Nepal APF Club 2-1. APF took the lead in the 17th minute through Deepak Khadka’s goal. NPC’s Santosh Hem Rana scored the equaliser in the 53rd minute before Suman Lama sealed the victory with a goal in the injury time. The third-place playoff and final matches are slated for Saturday in Gorahi.
