KATHMANDU: The Department of Transport Management has stated that road worthiness and pollution tests of all public vehicles operating in Kathmandu Valley (buses, microbuses, taxis and tempos) will be carried out from the Vehicle Fitness Test Centre, Teku, from Sunday. Prior to this, DoTM had been checking fitness of vehicles from its fitness checking centre located in Ekantakuna. Rupnarayan Bhattarai, director general of DoTM, said since Teku-based VFTC was comparatively well-facilitated, fitness testing task was being shifted there.
