NDA, APF maintain winning runs

  Leaders Shivam New Diamond Academy, Nepal APF Club and Nepal Police Club recorded victories in the 13th Red Bull Dhorpatan UM Women’s Double League Volleyball Tournament at the Dhorpatan Volleyball Training Centre courts today. NDA thrashed Eastern Regional Volleyball Association 25-5, 25-5, 25-3 to extend their winning run to 10 matches. They have accumulated 30 points and are at the top of the 12-team standing. NDA will play their last match of the first round against APF on Monday. APF recorded a 25-18, 25-13, 25-14 victory over Tops HS School to remain undefeated in nine matches. They have 27 points are at the second position. NPC, who won their last two matches of the first round today, also have 27 points but are third in the standing. NPC defeated fellow departmental side Tribhuvan Army Club 25-13, 25-23, 25-20 and returned to thrash Shree Gaun Sports Development Committee 25-7, 25-11, 25-11. Shree Gaun had earlier defeated Meghauli Sports and Educational Club 25-22, 25-15, 25-14. After the loss against Shree Gaun in the day’s first match, Meghauli came back strongly and saw off Three Star Academy 25-6, 25-8, 25-1 in the second match of the day. TAC is fourth with 18 points, followed by Tops (15), Shree Gaun (12) and Meghauli (11).
