Province 4 adds two new ministries

POKHARA: Two new ministries have come into operation in Province 4 from Monday. With this development, Pokhara, temporary headquarters of the Province now has four ministries. Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperative Ministry, Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Ministries have come into operation from Pardi based Cooperative Training and Division Office and Pokhara, Bagar based Regional Forest Directorate respectively. Earlier, the Office of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, and Internal Affairs and Law Ministry had come into operation in Pardi based Skills Development Training Centre. Likewise, the Regional Agriculture Director and Joint Secretary Sarad Chandra Shrestha has undertaken the post of Land Management Ministry’s Secretary. However, three more ministries are yet to come into operation in the Province. As of now, the preparations have been going on to add Economic Affairs and Planning Ministry, and Physical Infrastructure Development Ministry, province officials informed. The government has also delegated employees to all the ministries; however, all of them have not attended respective offices.
