KATHMANDU: Rautahat Rising-XI and Makwanpur Cricket Club won their matches of the Khukuri Challenger T20 Cup here at the Mulpani Cricket Ground on Wednesday. In Group D matches, Rautahat beat Tikapur Cricket Club by eight runs, while Makwanpur thrashed Butwal Cricket Boys by seven wickets. In first match, Rautahat posted 167-4 in their allotted 20 overs after put into bat first and restricted Tikapur to 159-6. Rautahat skipper AashuKandoi, who scored 65-ball 76 hitting 11 boundaries and two sixes, was named the man-of-the-match. In another match, Butwal scored 157-4 before Makwanpur raced to 158-3 in 18.3 overs. Makwanpur’sHashim Ansari, who scored a quick-fire unbeaten 72 off just 43 balls with the help of eight boundaries and three sixes, got the man-of-the-match award.
