BARA: A person died and three others sustained injures when two motorcycles collided with each other in Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-14 of Bara district on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Nandan Kishwor Prashad Yadav (60) of Subarna Rural Municipality-4, and the injured as Oshik Ahamad (60) of the same place, Sikendra Prasad Kushwaha (32) and Prem Chandra Mahat (27) both residents of Mahagadimai Municipality-2 in the district. According to police, the incident occurred when the motorcycles (Na 8 Pa 8878) and (Na 44 Pa 3701) collided head-on in Laxminiya at 6:15 pm yesterday, injuring riders and pillion riders of both two-wheelers. The critically injured Yadav was rushed to the Birgunj-based Neuro Sarbottam Hospital; however, he breathed his last during the course of treatment, informed the Temporary Police Post, Buspark, Bara. It has been learnt that Yadav was the rider of Na 8 Pa 8878 plated motorcycle. Meanwhile, the three others who were injured have been undergoing treatment at the Birgunj-based National Medical College. Further investigation into the case is underway, said the police.
