Child literature convention to help develop skills

Khotang, February 18 The Nepalese Society for Children’s Literature is all set to host the 25th National Children’s Literature Convention in Diktel of Khotang on March 9 and 10. The convention has been organised with the aim of supporting creativity among children and also to help them develop skills so that they can engage with their teachers, guardians and fellow students. The convention has also been organised to orient school children with child literature. The convention will showcase papers on child literature; effect of literature on children’s life; bring about innovations in the publication of child literary creations;create a market for children’s literature; and provide knowledge on the state of child literature in Khotang as well as address other issues. Authors, editors, translators, teachers, illustrators, singers, musicians, journalists, library managers, among others artists related to child literature and guardians will also be able to hold extensive discussions on the new tools for learning. NESCHIL has been organising such conventions in different parts of the country since 1987.
