Police nabs three Indian nationals in Rautahat district

RAUTAHAT: Three Indian nationals were arrested, on the charge of possessing illegal firearms and bullets, from a hotel in Gaur of Rautahat district on Tuesday. On the basis of a tip-off, police in civvies deployed by Rautahat District Police Office, raided Munna Hotel situated in Gaur Municipality-2 around 7:45 pm and arrested three Indian nationals, along with two pistols and three rounds of Self-Loading Rifle (SLR) bullets. The arrestees have been identified as Madan Kushwaha (28) and Dinesh Prasad Kushwaha (27), both permanent residents of Hasare Grampanchayat-1, Mujhaffarpur district of Bihar in India, and Ajay Prasad Kushwaha (21), permanent resident of Manir Grampanchayat-2, Gadai in India. According to Yagya Binod Pokharel, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Rautahat District Police, 'One automatic pistol, one nakkatuwa pistol and three rounds of SLR bullets were seized from the possession of the arrestees.' In a press statement, Rautahat District Police Office mentioned that the arrestees have been remanded into judicial custody for further investigations.
