BESISAHAR, LAMJUNG: Lamjung District Community Hospital is going to launch Special New-born Care Unit (SNCU) service. According to Lamjung District Community Hospital, the service is going to be launched targeting the prematurely born babies and the new-born facing complex health problems. Yuvraj Devkota, Administrative Chief at the hospital said that the hospital would provide SNCU service free of cost within a few days. Earlier, the hospital was compelled to send new-borns with health issues to other health facilities in lack of such technology. It is believed that the rate of untimely death of the new-borns would be decreased with the establishment of SNCU at the hospital. All infrastructures have already been constructed for the same. The Hospital Development Committee has set a target to upgrade the 62-bed hospital to 100-bed in near future.
