Biratnagar man held in Kathmandu with huge cache of controlled pharmaceutical drugs

KATHMANDU: A team deployed from the Narcotics Control Bureau of Nepal Police has arrested a youth in possession of huge cache of controlled pharmaceutical drugs from Balaju area in KMC-16 on Tuesday. Police identified the arrestee as 27-year-old Amit Pal of Shantichowk in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-16 in Morang district. The sleuths from NCB apprehended Pal at the roadside in front of Bhatbhateni store in Balaju area in possession of controlled pharmaceutical drugs---Nurofen, Diazepam and Phenergan 420 ampoules each. According to police, the drugs were wrapped with newspaper and hidden inside a bag. Meanwhile, further investigation is underway, said police.
